Master Cabinetmaker, Tony Emanuel, from Wakatipu Joinery in Queenstown was engaged to craft a new kitchen for his “passive house” customer – with a big focus on eco-friendly materials.
“The overall design concept for this job was refined to create a highly considered and personalised kitchen”, says Tony. “The use of bamboo panels compliments the passive house and its lime plaster interior perfectly”.
Both vertical and compressed “coffee” bamboo panels were used in this project. The extensive use of Plantation bamboo panels was continued into the laundry, bathroom vanity and wardrobe.
